ACE Activities and Results for the Previous Year

The school uses ACE for its core teaching: Maths, English, Social Studies, Science, Word Building, Literature and Biblical Studies. We  use ACE from YN to Y13.

The ACE curriculum is highly technical and sophisticated and uses mastery learning and individualisation to deliver a differentiated and personalised academic curriculum with training in character, work study and self management skills.  It is thorough and its assessments are robust.

The school has developed activities to extend, enrich and embed the teaching of the ACE curriculum.  Where PACEs provide the theory and some practical, in science and maths for example, the activities extend the practical.  Where it provides the grammar of a language, activities will provide additional opportunities for reading, speaking and writing.  British History teaching and British Geography skills are added.

The ACE workbooks contain formative tests.  The summative assessment is through separate tests given at the end of each workbook. Progress is also assessed through the level and workbook number. Lessons may also be assessed by termly tests.

Additional external assessment is provided for Senior students in extended writing, Bible, art & design, IT, Science and Social Studies, Music, Speech & Drama and sport at the annual European Student Convention.

At ICCE, formal external assessment is provided in essay writing and practical science by the coursework requirements at General, Intermediate and Advanced Certificates.

 Please note that work continues across the years. Once a student has completed the work in one level they continue to the next level without waiting for a new year.  Students in the Juniors and Seniors without issues should complete 72 PACEs a year.

2023 -2024

Average PACE Score: 96.36 % Grade A

Average number of PACEs: 64

ICCE General: 3 students graduated. One Grade B average, one Grade A average and one Grade A* average.

Next =  General Certificate students are continuing either into Sixth Form for the Intermediate and Advanced Certificate or on to college for A Levels and vocational studies.

Two students took one GCSE each (as a credit towards their Intermediate ICCE Certificate) and the results were one 8 Grade and one 9 Grade.
