School News and Achievements 2011-2012

Micah Davidson has earned a place at Liverpool University to study English. He is doing well in his courses. Micah received an A grade overall for his Advanced Certificate.

David Stevens is continuing to do well at university. He is studying Mathematics at Leicester. He has been very helpful to his church there with setting up data and PA. He achieved a 2:1 for his first year grade.

Karan Yamada is shining in Japanese at Manchester. She has received glowing recommendations from her tutors and is receiving firsts for her courses. She received 85% for her last module and is achieving firsts overall for her courses. She has got into a very prestigious university in Tokyo for her year in Japan next year.

Having graduated from Sheffield with his degree in Japanese, Charles Lewis married Christine in Ireland. They are living in Stockport and attend church locally. They both work for a international exporter. They met whilst studying together in Japan.

John Lewis is engaged to marry Laura Andrade from Vineyard Christian School in Mallorca. Laura is studying art in Bristol and John works for a prize-winning company in Swindon. His job involves trouble shooting and computers and he was head-hunted by his successful millionaire businessman boss whilst serving God working at Maranatha Christian School in Swindon. He is a housegroup leader in his church. Their wedding will take place in Mallorca in August 2013.

Octavia Lewis has completed her degree in Music at Durham University. She is at St. John’s College. She plans to spend her free time working for Maranatha School in Swindon. She won college colours in conducting, badminton and football.

Ore Olawoye won a place at Hull University to study Business for September 2012. We were very proud of his hard work and great scores. He achieved a place with only his Intermediate Level Certificate. As most of you will know, Ore passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in March 2012. Several of us were able to attend his funeral including former students. He is forever in our hearts.

Renata Phillips continues to work in the nursery at a central Manchester hospital. She is involved with her church and, like many other former students, still in contact with school.

Dr Davita Morgan is part of a group currently praying and planning to start a Christian school in Andover.
