Welcome to King of Kings School!
At the King of Kings School, Christ is the centre of everything we do. He is the centre of our community, lives, and experience. The Christian curriculum ensures that the school day itself has Christ at the centre. Our school has a loving, nurturing environment. We reinforce the Christian family values of the home, building wisdom, fostering respect and encouraging good discipline. We take time with each child individually, getting to know them and helping them with their work and as they grow in character.
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home, when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” Deuteronomy 6:5-7
The King of Kings School is a non-denominational Christian school, providing a caring and stable environment in which students can reach high standards of academic, social, moral, spiritual and emotional development. We have a Christian curriculum administered by Christian teachers. We are here to support families who want to bring up their children in a Christian environment. There is a high teacher/student ratio. We aim for academic excellence, but we emphasize godly character above all.
“He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so that the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.” – Psalm 78: 5-7
We recognise that each child is unique and we work with each child at their own, appropriate level. The school welcomes applications for children from all backgrounds. We take children from age 3 to 18. Students graduate with the International Certificate of Christian Education – ICCE.
What is education?
Education is the transmitting of an entire culture to the next generation. Our objective is to transmit godly Christian culture to the next generation. We believe that education must be God-centred, thoroughly equipping children for their future role and God’s plan for their life. We believe that education is the parents’ God-given right and responsibility and we want to work with parents, encouraging interactions between school and home.
“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
Education must meet the needs of individual children and encourage the development of a child’s talents and abilities. We believe in thorough mastery of concepts and knowledge at a rate that is suited to each child. We know that children need a variety of learning methods – individualised, group work, oral, visual, aural and kinaesthetic.
Education goes beyond achieving qualifications. We think excellence is essential, but to educate is to bring knowledge, understanding and wisdom. We teach God as Creator and know that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.” (Proverbs 9:10)
Wisdom is seen as the valuable fruit of education.
